He holds a Bachelor's in Human Rights from Uganda Christian University and is pursuing a Master's in Governance and International Relations.
With experience at the Uganda Human Rights Commission, Global Rights Alert, and various NGOs, Calvin has worked on policy research, legal analysis, and social justice initiatives, addressing labor rights, child protection, and environmental impacts. Mr. Nkosinathi Samson Masilela is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa, with more than 5 years of legal work experience. He is passionate about the petrochemical, mining and the energy sector. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Swaziland, a Practical Legal Training from Johannesburg School for Legal Practice, an Introduction to Trial Advocacy from the Black Lawyers Association in South Africa, a Prospecting and Mining law certificate from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Masters in Law of Minerals Petroleum Extraction and Use from the University of Cape Town. He assisted Magomba Mine in Swaziland in the application of a mining permit, by advising it, to involve and consult with the local community on environmental impact assessment and social labour plan. He has an interest in the implementation of Just Energy Transition in the South African coal mining industry, as a transition to a low carbon economy by 2050.He has experience in law of human rights, commercial contract drafting, criminal and civil law litigation, environmental law and health and safety standards of the petroleum and mining industry, negotiation of mining contracts, resources revenue law, labour matters and third party claim matters.
