Jocyline Omondi is a Lawyer and energy specialist who has dedicated her career to navigating the complex legal and regulatory frameworks in the energy industry. She is currently the Assistant Executive Director at Africa Energy and Minerals Management Initiative (AEMI) and the Chief Operating Officer at Elgon Links Energy Solutions Limited.
She was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. Jocyline developed an early interest in oil, gas, and energy Law after earning her undergraduate degree in Law from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. She proceeded to attend the University of Dundee in Scotland, United Kingdom where she specialized in International Oil and Gas Law and Policy and graduated with a Distinction.
Jocyline has worked with the UK Department of International Development (DFID) funded Extractive HUB project, where she quickly established herself as a rising star in the field. She has also worked with one of the top Global Law firms, White and Case LLP London branch, United Kingdom. Over the years, she has worked on a wide range of energy-related issues, reviewed several contractual agreements, consulted for various institutions and reviewed legal and regulatory frameworks for several countries in the energy sector.
Jocyline is a certified professional mediator from the Mediation Training Institute (MTI) and an accredited Court Annexed mediator. She is well versed in the area of alternative dispute resolution, contractual management, legal analysis, project management and legal research. She is also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of several professional international organisations including the Energy Institute and the Association of International Energy Negotiators.
In addition to her legal work, Sarah is passionate about promoting sustainability through creating cruelty free scented candles, wax melts and diffusers. She is an entrepreneur and has been a speaker at industry conferences, webinars and events. She has also organized, managed and moderated several events and conferences in the industry.

Anne is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Kenyatta University. She is also a Certified Secretary (CS-K). Anne currently works as a Programme Officer at the East African Hub of Natural Justice: A Pan-African Non-Governmental for lawyers for communities and the environment. The Organization specialises in human rights and environmental law in pursuit of social and environmental justice. In her role, she helps indigenous and local communities, through the legal empowerment methodology, to know, use and shape the law.
She also supports the strategic litigation and advocacy work against fossil fuel projects, land grabs, and non-compliant extractives and infrastructure projects which harm the environment and violate the rights of indigenous and local communities. She also advocates for increased and secure control by indigenous peoples and local communities over their lands, ecosystems and traditional knowledge.
Anne is currently supporting the Just Energy Transition Africa Initiative which offers legal assistance to communities, civil society organizations and local government to challenge new fossil fuel development and power generation in Court; advance regulatory reform and strengthen energy planning to level the playing field for clean energy; and help ensure communities benefit from clean energy.

She works with Actions for Democracy and Local Governance (ADLG) as a legal and advocacy officer. ADLG is a Non-Governmental organization which advocates for active citizen participation, democracy, and governance in Tanzania. As a practicing attorney, she has spent much of her career working with underprivileged mining communities and collaborating with stakeholders who work tirelessly to influence Tanzanian, African, and world economic development.
