Tovia Omoijahe is a master’s graduate of the University of Bradford, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, where she obtained an LLM in Natural Resources and Environmental Law and Policy. Apart from her avid interests in the field of energy and environmental law, she has contributed to research across various parts of Africa, including works on the role of the Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage Technology in the Nigerian Energy Transition Journey, Unconventional Resources in the Oil and Gas Industry, as well as contributions on the role of Critical minerals in the Just Transition.
She also moderated a session of the sustainability of mining conference sponsored by NEM Energy and African Energy and Minerals Management Initiative (AEMI), which was not only targeted at proffering sustainable and workable solutions to the mining hurdles in Africa and the global South in general but was also targeted at creating awareness about clean technologies and best practices.
During her placement at Pforzheim Germany, she had also given a lecture on climate change and its impacts on the energy sector, particularly the region of Africa and other parts of the global South. She is an advocate of the impact and the spectrum of colour which thought provoking research and contributions could provide on the issue of changing legal norms.

Over the 5 years expertise with the extractive Industry, Irene has delivered executive trainings to VIPs on the Tilenga Project, published several articles about mining, Oil and Gas and Voluntarily supported Artisanal Small-scale miners with successful Grant writing and advocated for best Practices.
In 2021, during her mentorship Programme with AEMI, Irene won a fully funded grant by UNDP- ACP-EU Development minerals Programme for MIRAC (Mid- Western Region Anti-Corruption Coalition) to support Artisanal and small-scale miners. She Inspires to continuously advocate for an exceptional value in the extractives industry: Mining, Oil and Gas Industries.
Irene has Published several Journal articles such as Oil and gas for sustainable Development, Development minerals an Important Sector to focus on, among others with the leading Uganda’s media houses.
Irene continuously posts insightful and inspiring articles on her LinkedIn page for sustainable development . She is also a founding member of Joren Mineral Consultants, a private owned Company making ground in the Extractive Industry.

Rukundo Methodius is the CEO of Ruthius Design and Construction Limited and serves on its board of directors.
Before being CEO in May 2022, I was a clerk of works and I was responsible for representing arch design site on daily basis at the project site, compiling weekly and monthly site progress reports, assist the project architect in compiling site meeting minutes, undertaking any project related activity as maybe assigned by the project manager/ any consultant member of project management team, preparing minutes of site meetings and work measurement sheets among others. I also worked at Jeniwe as a project engineer and played key roles including planning, coordinating and managing the whole project ensuring flexibility in response to increasingly demanding requirements of clients.
Prior to joining construction industry, I volunteered in Tin Mining in Mbarara District, Kitezo area where I was responsible for safety of workers in mines by ensuring that all workers are well equipped with personal protective equipment like gloves, helmets, gumboots among others.
Previously civil works, I worked with different water companies including Hydraulic And Sanitation Consults, Baata Engineering Limited among others where I was responsible for both new water installations, maintenance and repairs.
I earned an HD in Civil and Building Engineering and Diploma in Water Engineering both from Kyambogo University.
